Four wheels move the body…Two wheels move the soul | New Jersey Portrait Photographer

“Four wheels move the body.  Two wheels move the soul.”

I convinced Chris to pose for some photos for me and I was so happy when he agreed.  Ever since he bought himself a motorcycle I’ve been wanting to photograph him with it.  We headed out to my favorite farm in NC a little under an hour from Chris’ house and Chris got to modeling!  =)

The setting, the sky and clouds, and the results were exactly what I was hoping for.  I decided to process the photos out of the ordinary for portraits.  I wanted an “edgy” look and feel to the photos and I achieved what I was looking for.

Chris was a great model and I’m so thankful he didn’t mind posing for me.

Jordan Thomas - Hello! I am not a professional photographer, but I do love taking pictures. I was looking at your photos and really love your photography and the session you did with Chris and his motorcycle. I live in Dallas Tx and wished we have beautiful county roads like that. Anyways, I was reading and you wanted a edgy look and I loved how that came out in your photos. I have been working on editing my photos and have been trying to acheive this look. I have a little cheap program, casue I don’t know what a great photoshop to buy to help me acheive this look. Please help me with any tips you have I would greatly appreciate it.

admin - Thanks for commenting everyone. I love this series of Chris!

@momoc blog – thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting! The photos were done in an HDR method and that’s that what brought out those amazing clouds. =)

Sue - I’ve scrolled back through a couple of times, enjoying this fantastic series. My absolute favorite is the one where Chris is kneeling on the pavement, foreground grass OOF, and the bike in the background.

PS — I sure wish the entire vertical photo would fit on my monitor. I work solely from a laptop and have to scroll to take in the verticals. Darn.

momoc blog - Nice bike, i dream to have that kind of superbike but in my country the tax make the price high. You should make the photo with HDR effect coz you have nice background with cloud will make fascinating HDR Photo.

Chris - I really don’t see myself as a photogenic person, but Jen made these photos look really good. It would take me forever to count and write down all the photos I really like. Great work Jen!
This is something you wanted to do so long ago, but we were always busy going out of town and planning cities to shoot and places to go. I think the setting for this could only have been better, if the road had a crazy curve in it. The clouds, beautiful sun and barn, amazing. Love the shots!
