Author M.J. Sullivan – Necessary Heartbreak | New Jersey Portrait Photographer

I recently completed the photos from the session I had with author Michael J. Sullivan but you’ll have to wait on the edge of your seat for a little while to see them.  I will be sharing the photos with you, in the future, when his book is available in bookstores.

Michael J. Sullivan is an author and sports writer living in New York who graduated from St. John’s University, and is a member of the McDonald’s All-American Selection Boys Basketball Committee and the Parade All-American Selection Committee. Michael hosted sports radio shows on WGBB on Long Island, NY, and WEVD 1050AM in New York City, as well as worked with ESPN and Sporting News. In addition to writing the When Time Forgets series, Michael covers high school and college sports for Fox-owned, which involves daily activity on ten to twelve message boards as well as writing approximately 100 articles each month.

Michael has published a number of books through established trade houses, including the trivia book So You Think You’re a New Yorker, which was an iconic work lauded by columnist Cindy Adams. In addition, he published seven sports-themed books for children through Enslow, and a volume of a children’s book series through HarperCollins.

*Excerpt above is quotes fro his biography on the Simon & Schuster website.

His latest book is Necessary Heartbreak: Book One of the When Time Forgets Trilogy

You can check out his website to learn more about his novel HERE.

If you pre-order his book “Necessary Heartbreak,” this month through Amazon by clicking HERE you will be helping to fight Breast Cancer.  All royalties from this month will be donated in memory of his mother, Patricia, who passed away at the age of 47.

Here’s blogger Writing in a Votex’s thoughts about the book:

“In my heated pursuit of high concept this time around, I’m always on the lookout for book-deal blurbs that scream “I-left-dozens-of-editors- salivating-at-auction-for-this.” I think I found it today; and-what do you know?-it’s time travel. Shocking, isn’t it? Here it is:

Michael Sullivan’s Necessary Heartbreak, an inspirational time-travel novel about a single dad who has lost his faith and is struggling to raise his 14-year-old daughter when they discover a portal leading back to first-century Jerusalem during the tumultuous last week of Christ’s life.

Now that’s an author who married two unlikely genres. Fist bump to you Mr. Sullivan for creating your own little Christian time travel high concept.”
