Is Anyone Home? | New Jersey Family & Children’s Portrait Photographer

Last year we did little “T’s” 1 year old portraits in a pumpkin patch and this year we decided to do a more “urban” feeling session.  We decided on Princeton University’s campus (one of my favorite places for photography).  The campus was perfect for this fall session and we had a wonderful day together.

Below is my favorite archway on the University campus…so of course it made for a very GRAND photo of the family.  If I ever have a studio space this is one I would hang in a HUGE canvas!

I think this is my favorite family photo I’ve done.  I can’t believe how lucky we were to have the beauty of Princeton University, the beauty of the gorgeous fall leaves, and the most AMAZING back lighting on this scene that I could have ever asked for.  And a beautiful family to add to the scene made it heavenly!

The title of this blog post stems from the fun we had with “T” that day.  We had him knocking on every door we could find asking if anyone was home.  Eventually he started asking for Elmo behind the doors.  Mom said he is still doing it weeks and weeks later!  LOL!

I LOVE the colors and wardrobe choices the family made.  They colors were amazing in the fall scenes!!

“T” has the most gorgeous blue eyes.  They are so unique with a beautiful dark outline to them.  Isn’t he the cutest little guy ever?

We had such a good time with the leaves!  =)

Mom and Dad asked for some portraits together and I was happy to oblige in doing so throughout the session.

This is one of my favorite moments during the session and “T’s” Mommy loves this photo as well.

This one always makes me giggle when I see it.  I got him all set up on the bench and as soon as I set him there and went to take the photo he was getting ready to make a run for it!  LOL!  I love it though.  Photos don’t always have to be “perfectly set up” to be “perfect.”

Love his little hand out.  =)

I have a whole series of photos I took of this moment.  I couldn’t help snapping away as he had a whole conversation with me and had all of these different expressions while Mom and Dad smiled in the distance.

I love how the texture came out in this one!

Sue - I agree with all of the previous comments; not much more I can add EXCEPT…I love the way you “play” with the toddlers and photograph them while they are involved in child-like activities.
